Lynne Andreades
Founder
Lynne Andreades is the founder of the Hobe Sound Tennis Center. She attempted to learn the game of tennis when she was 8 years old and was told, “your wrists aren’t strong enough.” Growing up she tried to learn from friends and family and was told, “call us when you can actually play.” After raising 3 daughters, she retired and moved to Florida. In her 50s, with a technologically lighter tennis racquet in hand, she found a tennis pro willing to teach her as if she was a junior starting out. Many years later she now can proudly play the game. Living with the regret of not learning soon enough and recognizing all that the sport of tennis offers in the way of character development and health benefits, Lynne spent 10 years looking for property to develop. Finally, she found land locally in Hobe Sound and set to work to create a tennis center that includes Pickleball. Bringing families together in a healthy and fun environment, the center will be devoted to teaching children tennis. It is her hope that memberships, team tennis and donations will make the tennis center a self-sustaining operation.
